The latest instalment of the Legend of Zelda series, Skyward Sword, has just hit shelves, and is fast receiving rave reviews around the world.
It generally sticks to the tested Zelda formula, but this time Nintendo promises much more involved controls, as well as bigger and better bosses and rewards. And from what I've seen of Skyward Sword, it delivers.
The combat system definitely seems like it has been much more appropriated for the Wii controller than it's predecessor, Twilight Princess, with Link mirroring your actions in the game. However, that also causes problems, with even the slightest movement causing some reaction.
The graphics have also been redesigned since Twilight Princess, having a cartoony feel, although not to the extent of The Wind Waker.
With most Zelda games I find that the level of difficulty, as well as the amount of content, is usually pretty well balanced, and I hope this is no exception.
Overall, this looks like another excellent addition to the Zelda series, and I can't wait to actually play it!
